How to Fill Out a PDF Form Online

Application forms, tax documents, registration sheets — so much paperwork arrives as a PDF that expects you to print it, fill it by hand, and scan it back. Filling the form digitally skips all of that and produces a neat, legible result.
Two kinds of PDF forms
It helps to know which type you have. Interactive forms have clickable fields built in: you tab from box to box and type. Flat forms are just static pages with printed lines and no real fields — these need a tool that lets you place text anywhere on the page, including over the blank spaces.
A good form filler handles both, so you are never stuck with a document you cannot complete.
How to fill a form
- Open the Form Filler tool and upload your PDF.
- Click into existing fields, or add text boxes onto a flat form where needed.
- Type your answers, then add checkmarks or a signature if required.
- Click Process and download the completed form.
Finishing touches
If the form needs a signature, the Sign PDF tool adds one cleanly. And flattening the finished form afterward locks your entries in place so they cannot be edited or accidentally shifted.
